On December 6, Hanwha Aero Engines Co., Ltd (Hanwha Group - Korea) held the inauguration ceremony of Hanwha Aero Engines Factory Project at Hoa Lac High-Tech Park.

Attending the ceremony were Politburo Member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh; Politburo Member, Secretary of the Central Party Committee, Head of the Central Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh; Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Science, Technology and Environment, Phan Xuan Dung; Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anh; Embassy of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam Lee Chul, Chairman of Hanwha Group Kim Seung Yeon.

The Hanwha Aero Engines Factory Project was granted with a total investment capital of USD 200 million by Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Management Board on September 21, 2017. After the construction and installation of machinery and equipment, trial operation, today, the plant officially went into mass production and is expected to ship its first product in January 2019.

Right after receiving the certificate of investment registration in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, Hanwha Aero Engines Co., Ltd has recruited and appointed many Vietnamese technicians to study in Korea. In addition, more than 40 technicians from the parent company in Korea are present at the factory to train about 200 Vietnamese technicians. Not long ago, the Hanwha Aero Engines factory, with the mainstream operation of Vietnamese technicians, has been certified for the production of international aviation components and has also been granted a certification from the Group. GE (World No. 1 Motor Manufacturing Corporation).

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Binh expects Hanwha Aero Engines Factory to become a representative model for technology transfer activities of Korean enterprises to Vietnam, thereby opening opportunities to access A key technology, helping to transfer and improve technology capacity in Vietnam.

Minister Chu Ngoc Anh highly appreciated the efforts and cooperation of the investors and Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Management Board in implementing the procedures and building and completing the works for the main project.
