This afternoon (5/12), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Mr. Jensen Huang, Chairman and General Director of Nvidia Corporation - the world's largest chip manufacturing corporation with a market value of more than 3,000 billion USD.

The Prime Minister and Chairman of Nvidia testified ant the signing ceremony of the Agreement between the Government of Vietnam and Nvidia Corporation on cooperation in establishing Nvidia's Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research and Development Center and the AI Data Center in Vietnam.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed the chairman and senior leaders of Nvidia Corporation to visit and work in Vietnam for the second time and sincerely thanked Nvidia for its affection, advice, and effective cooperation for Vietnam.

The Prime Minister assessed that the Cooperation Agreement between Nvidia and the Government of Vietnam, which has just been signed just over a year after the Prime Minister's visit to Nvidia in the US, is an important milestone showing the determination and strong commitment of Chairman Jensen Huang to make Vietnam "Nvidia's second home".

In the coming time, the Prime Minister proposed that the two parties cooperate in research and development of artificial intelligence to create a new production force on the basis of Vietnam's artificial intelligence with the cooperation of Nvidia and propose a number of specific orientations.

Accordingly, Nvidia continues to advise Vietnam to develop this field and cooperate in infrastructure development, human resource training, promoting the startup and innovation movement, especially inspiring the younger generation; developing technology to promote Vietnam's full potential through artificial intelligence...

The Government of Vietnam is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for the cooperation between the two sides to be implemented effectively, bringing practical benefits to both sides in the spirit of "harmonious benefits, shared risks", "listening and understanding".

For his part, Nvidia Chairman Jensen Huang expressed his pleasure to return to Vietnam to announce Nvidia's R&D Center in Vietnam, continuing discussions with the Prime Minister on the field of artificial intelligence and semiconductor chips in Vietnam.

He affirmed that this is a great opportunity, an important time for Vietnam when the artificial intelligence industry is undergoing the most profound changes, developing new industries, services and products, promoting growth.

Artificial intelligence is the new technology that is changing the data of all countries, data must be considered as a national resource.

Chairman Jensen Huang said that efforts are helping us build a strong artificial intelligence future for Vietnam. He said that artificial intelligence is an extraordinary opportunity for Vietnam. Vietnam's encouragement and support for this field will be a big boost and Nvidia will be a partner and friend of Vietnam on every step and every journey.

Previously, in December 2023, the Chairman of Nvidia also came to Vietnam. At that time, he visited the National Innovation Center (NIC) and emphasized that this trip will definitely open up the next trips. "I'm going back to Vietnam, back to Nvidia's second home," he said.

"We believe Vietnam will be Nvidia's second home and our largest center in the world. We plan to establish a legal entity in Vietnam," the chairman of the world's largest chip manufacturing group emphasized during a visit last year.
