TigTectic® 6055
- Weld deposits are easily machinable with cutting tools
- Low-temperature maraging heat treatment significantly increases hardness without cracking
- No deformation during heat treatment (dimensional stability assured)
- Specifically designed for manufacturing composite cold cutting tools
TIG welding wire TIG-TECTICT-6055
High-alloy system used for wear protection and welding, used for repairing high-temperature tool steel, and has extremely high strength after aging treatment. Can be heat treatedOverview
Aging treatment martensitic alloy containing 18% Ni. It can be used for the welding of stamping tools and extrusion tools and the connection of high-strength steel. It can also be welded on the edge of carbon steel to make cutting tools. Ideal for metal deposition at high temperatures, such as forging dies, injection dies, extrusion dies, trimming dies, etc.
characteristic
After aging treatment, it has high strength and is easy to be machined. Suitable for maintenance of cutting blades. The hardness of the weld bead after welding is HRC31, and it is HRC53 after aging treatment. The weld bead is aged for 2-4 hours at a temperature of 480~520℃.
Welding process
Ensure that the welding part is free of oil, grease, oxides and other contamination, and remove the base material damaged by fatigue. For thick parts, make a 90° "V" groove. For high alloy steel, the preheating temperature is recommended to be 200°C. It is especially suitable for discontinuous welding of high alloy steel.
